Kneading More Sweets owners Monica & Kim have been having ‘sweet dreams’ of owning their own bakery since they could dream at all. Both started crafting in the kitchen during childhood, secured their first jobs at bakeries and built careers perfecting the techniques and artisanship of baking.
It is only fitting that their paths crossed at a bakery (as employees) and soon after meeting and with over 40 years of experience each, Monica & Kim partnered to create Kneading Sweets of DeLand – a bakery that not only serves up delicious sweets, but also precious memories created by sharing sweets together.
Monica & Kim are now excited to be able to share their passion and creations with the Ormond Beach community with the opening of Kneading More Sweets. Along with the smell of freshly baked cake, you can expect to be greeted with a warm smile and offered samples of DeLand’s, and soon to be Ormond’s, favorites Kilimanjaro and Death by Chocolate Cheesecakes.

I used Kneading More Sweets for my gender reveal cupcakes! They got me covered without too much of a notice, which was so appreciated. Everyone at the bakery was so nice and welcoming! I had a great interaction and the cupcakes were so excellent! We went with basic chocolate and vanilla. I ended up also picking up an Apple Crumb Cake which was out of this world. I can’t wait to use them again for other treats!
